Meet Your Dietitian
Kristin Grover is the Campus Dietitian with Pitt Dining by Sodexo. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2016. Kristin then continued her academic career by obtaining her Masters of Dietetics from the University of Rhode Island while becoming credentialed as a registered dietitian.
As your Campus Dietitian, Kristin is here to help you achieve your health and wellness goals through food and nutrition. She is your resource for nutrition counseling, managing special diets, wellness programming, and more!
Kristin’s nutritional philosophy is centered on adopting balanced and varied eating habits. She believes food can and should be used for both fuel and enjoyment!

Mindful is Sodexo's health and wellness approach that helps make healthy choices second nature! We are committed to creating healthy environments for our customers by providing healthy, nutritious meals. Our approach focuses on transparency of ingredients, delicious food, satisfying portions, and clear messaging so that you can make Mindful choices!
Our Mindful recipes deliver satisfying portions that are not only delicious, but also meet a wide array of specific nutrition guidelines that control the level of calories, fat, saturated, and trans fats, cholesterol, and sodium. Look for items marked with the green apple identifier for healthier meal options.
Food Allergies & Intolerances
We take pride in serving you wholesome ingredients, preparing recipes accurately, and providing nutritional analysis and ingredient statements through our online menus and nutrition calculator. From our general manager to our servers, we work carefully to address food allergies, celiac diets, and other special dietary needs.
We meet one-on-one with anyone who has individual dining needs to ensure that their dining experience is safe, delicious, and social. If you have a food allergy or special diet concern, please contact your dietitian, Kristin.
Simple Servings is our allergen-safe, dining option for our customers with food allergies or gluten intolerance. This station offers recipes prepared without peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, fish, wheat, soy, milk products, eggs, or gluten-containing ingredients. Simple Servings staff members are carefully trained to avoid cross-contact with food allergens.
**Separate equipment, storage areas, utensils and preparation areas minimize, but do not totally eliminate, the chances of gluten and allergens in our Simple Servings foods.
Whether you are interested in cutting down on meat in your diet or want to forego animal foods altogether, we’ve got you covered. Vegan and vegetarian options are available throughout campus daily.
H2Peas & Kale to Pitt
We are so into plant-based dining that we've dedicated two of our dining stations to provide 100% vegan meals. Whether dining in Market Central at H2Peas or or enjoying Kale to Pitt up at the Perch, you can count on a variety of flavorful, balanced vegan options.
Dining is an experience that goes far beyond food. We seek to provide options for all our students.
Visit Market-to-Go to enjoy a Kosher meal. Our Kosher program is overseen by our full-time Mashgiach.

A variety of gluten-free items across campus and can accommodate customers with foods that are free from gluten-containing ingredients and protected against cross-contact with gluten.
Menu items with the vegetarian icon contain no meat, fish or poultry, or any meat products such as soup base. Our vegetarian offerings meet the needs of lacto-ovo vegetarians and may include eggs and/or dairy products.
Vegan offerings contain no meat, fish, eggs, milk or other animal-derived ingredients.
